The Training for Transition course will be held
Friday-Sunday, March 26-28, 2010.
The course will be held at the Capital Area Food Bank, at 8201 South Congress Avenue, just north of Slaughter Lane: Saturday the course will run from 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM, with an hour's break for lunch, and then continue after supper with some labs and workshops. Sunday the course will also run from 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM, but with nothing after that. Enter the building through either of the 2 doors at the right end of the building. |

Here is a description of the course:
This is a formal Transition US training event, to educate people about how to ease through the challenges facing communities today such as peak oil, climate change, and the economic crisis. It is a positive approach of focusing on solutions that lead to a more satisfying life.
This training will follow the Transition model in paying attention to both the outer work and the inner work necessary for a successful transition process. This will be a participatory process, with participants invited to share their own experience and learn from the Transition Initiatives represented at the course.
At the end of the course, participants will:

Cost:
FLASH - the deadline for the reduced-cost registration has been
extended until March 20! Until then, the cost is $200 per person;
after that date, it will be $250 per person, so get your
registration in early for one of the remaining seats.
For those who can't afford the full price, 10 "scholarship"
registrations are available at $100 each.
